FAQs
Q: Do I need to bring anything to my first appointment?

Yes, it is recommended to bring any medications and supplements you are currently using.

Q: Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, it is not required to have a doctor’s referral note to consult with the Nutritionist/Homeopath.

Q: How does the service work?

The first step is to make an initial appointment that can be between 1-2.5 hours in length. If your appointment is for the Nutrition component it is a 1 hour assessment and if your appointment is for the Homeopathy it is 1.5 hours in length for the initial appointment.

Q: What is the difference between the Nutrition and Homeopath appointments?

The Nutrition assessment examines your diet and lifestyle habits. It takes into consideration your digestive tract and organ health and is suitable if you are looking for a weight loss program, learning about healthy eating habits, children’s health, addressing a certain health condition such as diabetes or cholesterol and learning about foods necessary for health. The Nutritionist also provides guidelines for supplementation if required. Meal plans are provided if desired that outline breakfast, lunch, dinner and all snacks and includes recipes and directions to make the recipes. All Nutrition programs are available for all ethnic backgrounds and all ages including pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Homeopathy is more of an in depth look into the condition presented. The Homeopath will explore all areas of your life including sleep patterns, reactions to weather, specific understanding of any aches and pains, what ameliorates or worsens the condition etc. This is done to select a suitable homeopathic medicine. Most of the time, a remedy will be dispensed at the end of the initial consultation, though in some cases, further analysis may be required and a day or two may be needed to study the case.

Q: How do I know which appointment is best for me?

I can take your information down and have the Practitioner give you a call or email you to discuss the best option for you.

Q: What are the fees for the each service?

The fee schedule is offered online but I can also email you the costs or I can provide you with the initial appointments for the Nutrition and Homeopathy consultations.

Q: What if I want both services?

That is not a problem. The Practitioner is offering a package for both services in one. This initial appointment is 2-2.5 hours in length and the price is: $229 plus taxes…a savings of almost 50% off both appointments.

Q: Are these services covered under my Insurance?

There are many insurance companies that cover the services of both the Nutrition and Homeopathy and include: Blue Cross, Desjardin Financial, Liberty Health, Maritime Life, Sunlife and Great West Life. You would have to check with your insurance company if Homeopathy or if a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner is covered. If you don’t have any coverage, you can still claim your homeopathic care under "Medical Expenses" on your Income Tax Return.

Q: Can the Practitioner help with any condition?

Yes, the Practitioner is able to address any health concern.

Q: Does the Practitioner help children or babies?

Yes, she is able to work with all ages.

Q: Does the Practitioner do blood work or any other testing?

No, blood work is not a service the Practitioner offers but she will recommend asking your Doctor to run tests if required.
